Morten Korch
Morten Luther Gudmund Korch was the son of the school teacher Ole Rye Aarsleff Korch (1844-1938) and wife Mette Kirstine Sophie Birgitte Raben (1841-1903).
Morten Korch could - if any - parts of the population in the two camps. Either one could like him and his books and movies, or also you could not like them. He was born in the village of Over Holluf in Fraugde parish on the island of Fyn, the 17. January 1876. He was number five of eight children. He came in købmandslære in Bakersfield in 1890 and was medinteressent in Wilhelm Løngreens Factories in Odense, 1896-1903. In the years 1903-1909 he ran independent wholesale company and was 1909-1912 director for the Danish Pottery and Flisefabrik in Hakkemose. In the years 1912-1916 he was the owner of A/S Morten Korchs Publishers, and from 1914, the staff of various daily newspapers, bl.a. 1919-1921 editor of Town and Country. He worked from 1914 and also as a frequent lecturer and came in the 1925 finance act.
