Zé Ramalho
José Ramalho Neto (Swamp of the Cross, on October 3, 1949), better known as Zé Ramalho, is an american singer and brazilian songwriter. It is a cousin of the singer Elba Ramalho.
His musical influences are a blend of elements from the culture of the north-east (singers, repentistas and rabequeiros), the Young Guard Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos, Golden Boys, Renato and his blue caps), the sound of the Beatles and the rebellion of The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Raul Seixas and, especially, Bob Dylan. There are elements of Greek mythology and comic books in their music.
He has six children: Christian (1974), Anthony Wilson (1978), and John (1979), Mary M. (1981), Joseph (1992) and Lovely (1995); as well as five grandchildren, Esther (1999) and Miguel (2004), children of Mary, Joe, Carlos, Ana, Moon (2002), she was the daughter of John Marian, Mary Louise, (2009), and Felipe (2011), the children of Christian and Tatiana. He is married to Roberta, Brother, mother, and Joseph, and Linda, for over 27 years.
In October 2008, the magazine Rolling Stone, has promoted the List of the Hundred Greatest Artists of Brazilian Music, the result of which has put to Zé Ramalho is in the 41st position.
