Thierry Flamand, who was born on 13 July 1953 is an illustrator, decorator and cinema and theatre decorator, and stage director in French. He is a graduate of the Beaux-Arts in Paris in architecture in 1979. He has been nominated twice for the César film for leCésar the best backdrop, in 1999 for the movie Place Vendôme by Nicole Garcia, and in 2008 for The Second souffled'Alain Corneau. His brother, Didier Flamand (1947-) is an actor, writer and director, with whom he collaborated, among others, for his play beware the zeppelins, in 2002.
