Sharon Janny den Adel born 12 July 1974 in Waddinxveen in the netherlands, is the singer and one of the parolières of the group of symphonic metal Dutch Within Temptation, and has previously been a member of the Circle.
In 1998, she was invited by Arjen Lucassen to participate in the album Into The Electric Castle the Progressive rock band Ayreon, where she played the role of Indian.
In 2002, she participated in the solo album Hymn to life by Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius) performing the vocal part of the ballad Are you the one?. She has also participated in two albums by the group Avantasia with Tobias Sammet and the first album of Delain, a group founded by the former clavièriste of Within Temptation, Martijn Westerholt.
On December 7, 2005, she gave birth to a daughter, Eva Luna, whose father is Robert Westerholt, guitarist of Within Temptation.
In 2008, she made a featuring with the DJ netherlands Armin van Buuren. The song, entitled In And Out Of Love, this is on the album Imagine by Armin van Buuren.
She sings a duet with Anneke van Giersbergen title "Somewhere" (reprise of a song of Within Temptation) on her album "Pure Air" in January 2009.
On February 22, 2009 is announced on the official website that she is pregnant for a second time.
