Pierre Brouwers

Pierre Brouwers has criss-crossed the planet since the age of 16 years to bring his travel photos, and documentary films.

A graduate of the Institut des hautes etudes des communications sociales (IHECS), Pierre Brouwers starts very early with the discovery of the world1. In 1970, he carried out, with two comrades, an expedition, on the route to India aboard a vehicle of their own design.

Successively, photographer, reporter, assistant editor and then editor-in-chief of a travel magazine (PERI), in parallel, he developed documentary films and reportages audio-visual. In 1980, he created his own production company : Media 9. Seven years later, he launched the Video Guides Hachette. Pierre Brouwers then creates the DVD Guides in 2000 (more than 130 titles in 2014). The Video Guides Hachette (on VHS tapes) and DVD's Guides combine, since the first title published in 1987, with a circulation of more than 4 million copies.
