Nidal Al-Askhar
Nidal Al Achkar is a lebanese artist who played a key role in the development of the theatrical movement and the general culture in Lebanon and in the arab world. Actress and director, Nidal graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts" in London. His encounter with Joan Littlewood, director, humanist, writer and founder of the "Theater Workshop", is essential in his career. In 1966, she founded with a group of artists "Atelier Dramatic of Beirut". It was a period of splendor for the avant-garde movement of the theatre in Lebanon, which has persisted until the outbreak of the civil war in 1975, and during which she presented as a stage director and an actress, theatre plays, feature films and television series in Lebanon and in the Arab world.
