Coy's work reflects one of my experiences of ten dincel disruption. She records the context of the body with arousal, immigration, dislocation and juxtaposition of desire with the medium's material: texture, color and emulsion passing. Each use of the image as text, language and sound within a Western society and her own memory of the failure displacement attempts. Born in Ankara, Turkey, Nazli Dinçel came to the United Sates as an immigrant at the age of 17 now. All works have been exhibited in numerous solo and screenings around the world, including Tiger Shorts competition programmed at FR, Museum of moving image, Edinburgh International Film Festival and the Dallas Contemporary Art Museum. She won Best Experimental Film at the Chicago Underground Film Festival for the title in 2015 with Every Silent Scream (2014).
