From 1967 on, he performed live türkü, Turkish folk songs, regularly on Saturdays within the front the state-owned radio station of TRT Adana-Çukurova. Feeling their debut single record "Emmioglu/Push the stone on the plain" was released in 1968. The next year, 1969, he was already loaded with a hit record titled "Sevda Installed Caravans/good pounding Pounding" records released by the Istanbul Palandoken, which sold 300,000 copies
The feeling After completing conscription, he returned to Istanbul and successfully continued to record folk songs. He had 13 singles by label Palandoken, Bestefon by four, 15 by Hülya records, and finally China by the two Records. Müslüm Gürses stepped into Yeşilçam and starred in 38 movies.
Later in his life, Gürses's interest started to shift toward other musical genres. Feeling he included pop and rock music repertory, singing such titles as "not Half" of Nilüfer, "Shattered" of Teoman and "US" instead of Tarkan.
Mainly sang Turkish folk and Ottoman classical music Müslüm Gürses. In his songs, he is primarily expressed sorrow and painful feelings. He considered a cult figure of Turkish folk music, and has a world of a very dedicated group, who call him as "Müslüm Baba'" ("Muslim Pope") affectionately.
