Son of the writer occitan Léon Cordes, Michel Cordes was born in 1945 in Montouliers, Hérault. Having followed the theatre course at the conservatoire de Montpellier and the NPT deVilleurbanne, it has long been a sculptor and has lectured on theatre in his youth. As a film actor, he has toured with several directors including José Giovanni, Jean-Paul Rappeneau, Bernard Rapp, and John Becker. Michel Cordes is also an actor of theatre and television. Since 2004, he is one of the main actors of the hit tv series More beautiful life, aired daily surFrance 3 with an average audience of 5 million viewers per week, where he plays the role of Roland Marci, the boss of the bar of the Mistral. Since 2010, the actor was asked to reduce the interventions of his character, which is now relegated to the second plan. He currently lives in Nîmes with his wife, near Marseille for the filming the regular series located in Marseille.
