Jaromír Nohavica comes from Ostrava. The first song he wrote already in eight years. The guitar playing from the age of thirteen, while originally his father wanted him to play the violin, but commitments. He himself, however, moreover, learned to play several musical instruments. In the years 1978-1981 remotely studied on the SECONDARY school library in Brno. He started studying at the technical university, but the studio broke, replaced several jobs, then prefer to stay free songwriter. In this field, the famous text of Love, smell the rain for Marie Rottrová (She's Gone from Black Sabbath), but he also wrote, for example, for Vera Špinarovou etc. Later began to independently perform, in recent years even with the band. Collaborated with the less significant regional bands, but also, for example, with the group Now. As an actor he has portrayed the year 2002 the main role of "Jarka trouser Leg" in the film Petr Zelenka's Year of the devil.
