Janis Streics

Jānis Streičs is a Latvian film director. He is the master of the English cinematic stories, an expert on the national mentality, and of the stranger the good-hearted irony and humour. His national comedies have earned him an unwavering popularity. Streičs' 1991 comedy film, son of Man was the runner-up for the Chicago International Children's Film Festival Rights of the Child Award in 1994.
