Elio Petri was born on January 29, 1929 in Rome, Lazio, Italy as Eraclio Petri. He was a writer and director, known for Indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto (1970), Un tranquillo posto di campagna (1968) and L'assassino (1961). He died on November 10, 1982 in Rome.
