Constantine Giannaris

Constantine Giannaris

He was born in Sydney. Carried out studies in economics, history and philosophy at the Universities of Kiel and Birmingham in Britain. His career in cinema began in England, where he worked on independent short films, low budget. His first Greek film, A place in the sun-1995, won the Award for Best Greek Film at the Short Film Festival of Drama. Followed the same year the film Close to Paradise 1998 movie From the edge of the city, won the second Best Film award of the Ministry of Culture. In 2001 came the fifteenth of August and the 2004 Hostage.
