Björn Bengtsson
The bear was born in Malmö, sweden and is educated at the ballet academy in Gothenburg, sweden, in 1992 and 1993, and the theatre academy in Gothenburg from 1993 to 1996. He hit the top of Bernard-Marie Koltès monologdrama the ”Night before the forests” at the Helsingborg city theatre, where he played the title role in Shakespeare's "Macbeth," and starred in productions such as Koltès 'West Quay', and Lars Noréns "the Night is today's mother".
He has also worked at the Malmö Dramatic Theatre, in the productions of the Paul's "Swedenhielms," and Patrick Hamilton's "Rope," as well as at the royal dramatic theatre, stockholm, in the "Hotel Strindberg" and Selma lagerlof's "Herr Arne's money".
He has worked together with Lars Norén, of the productions of chekhov's "the Seagull", "Cool" and ibsen's "Little Eyolf" at the National theatre, where we've seen him with Jon Fosses "Someone is going to come," which was directed by Eirik Stubø, who also directed the Bear, in Koltès "This, and the dogs in the fight" at the national theatre in Oslo, norway.
